Raven is looking for a high-energy service-driven leader with a strong technical and supervisory background to join our IT team. The Service Desk team manages all Service Desk related issues for a diverse set of users and applications across several divisions.

As the IT Service Desk Supervisor, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the IT Service Desk. While focusing on customer service, you will lead and monitor the response effort surrounding incoming issues and requests, proactively plan support for all new and current users, and serve as an escalation point for your team members.

You will work closely with the IT Technical Services Manager to help ensure our team is prepared to  support new applications and company initiatives.  We expect new team members to bring something new to the table, freely contribute their knowledge, and learn from our team.


Essential responsibilities:

  • Supervise the IT Service Desk Team, responsible for the day-to-day management.

  • Frequently takes an active technical role in key projects across the department.

  • Work with IT Leadership and other company leaders to determine priorities and set IT strategy.

  • Ensure alignment across all IT efforts and promote open communication and teamwork.

  • Coordinate internal and external departmental projects and ensures that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objective.

  • Own and manages all Service Desk backlog, setting measurable objectives and priorities for team.

  • Identify key metrics and actively seek feedback on team’s performance to drive improvements.

  • Determine staffing requirements and assist in recruiting new talent when needed.

  • Personable and effective at influencing decisions and working with customers.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to review current and potential IT Service Desk projects.

  • Monitor and conduct performance management reviews, timecard processing, and purchasing statements of direct reports.

  • Ensure team stays up to date with relevant technology through training and self-motivated education.

  • Manage purchasing for new equipment as well as maintenance renewals for internal IT and external departmental needs?

Desired Skills / Experience
•Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent field of study.
•2+ years of Team management & Leadership experience, preferable in Help Desk or Call Center environment.
•4+ years of hands on IT Technical Experience.
•Proven track record of building and managing a high performance team.
•Excellent work ethics, strong desire to mentor a team, and contribute towards continuous improvement in team skills, service and quality
•Excellent communication skills - able to communicate effectively with technical / non-technical personnel, including Executive management.
•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, employees, subordinates, and management
•Exceptional project management skills, specifically with IT technical projects.
•Experience in Ticketing Systems, Asset Management, Microsoft Active Directory, Laptop and Desktop PC’s, Windows Operating Systems, Mobile Devices, VOIP Phone Systems, Printers/Plotters, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
•US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required
