The Director of IS Support oversees the IS Technician and IS Analyst teams that provide the first line support for our employees. The teams are responsible for set up and removal of access, troubleshooting and documenting issues, appropriately escalating when necessary, deploying, maintaining, updating and repairing systems and other IS supported devices. The teams are responsible for prioritizing problem resolution for employees and the applications they use to support the organization and our customers. In addition, they provide technical recommendations based on customer needs, participate in feasibility studies to establish reliable system designs, prepare technical reports concerning status of activities, complete new technology testing, prepare documentation for hardware equipment and software purchasing, provide hardware and software configuration recommendations, and support issues. All with outstanding customer service.

Essential Job Functions:
Provides technical, process and procedural guidance on all activities performed through the Help Desk and Desktop Support teams.
Provides service with a customer focus and builds strong working relationships with all areas of the organization.
Coordinates IS resources to complete identified projects or process improvements.
Defines service levels and serves as escalation point for requests or work not being managed in a timely manner.
Ensures that systems, solutions and processes are in place to meet the needs of internal clients.
Demonstrates the ability to organize, prioritize, and determine staffing needs.
Reviews support issues and confirms that resolutions are adequately documented.
Periodically reviews support logs, tracks performance, and identifies trends and opportunities for improvement.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include evaluating, guiding and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work.
Assigns and manages team members, directing daily activities, and completing performance evaluations.
Works to deliver prompt problem resolution, or appropriately escalate issues. This includes configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring, and the development of specialized procedures.
Evaluates new industry hardware and software to stay current on emerging technologies, market trends, and future expectations.
Analyzes proposed and actual projects in terms of equipment and resource needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a college or university
10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
