This is a work from home position. Posting states Brookings, but open to various locations throughout South Dakota and North Dakota.

Customers and Events Daktronics Supports:

  • Exciting major league customers such as the Minnesota Twins, Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, Minnesota Wild, Arizona Diamondbacks, and many more.

  • Frequent domestic and international events such as the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, World Series baseball, Stanley Cup Hockey and many more.

  • International super centers including Arena Mexico.

  • A wide variety of other customers from shopping centers and casinos to airports, gas stations and digital billboards.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure responsiveness and first time resolution to customers’ requests for technical support primarily through incoming calls.

  • Troubleshoot and solve simple to highly complex hardware and software technical issues using logical troubleshooting approach with attention to detail.

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Provide software application installation/configuration support along with “how to” assistance. Periodically provide support for service projects, event support, installations and on-site technical service.

  • Actively create and update knowledge base articles for internal/external use. Perform shift work and on-call support as scheduled in order to meet the needs of our customers. Perform proactive-outbound calls.


•Minimum of an Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Preferred majors contain course work in electronics or computers. Examples include Information Systems, Network & Security Administration, Electronics Technology or Mechatronics. Will consider non-technical majors if applicant also has previous experience demonstrating technical learning ability.
•Previously demonstrated ability to pick up technical concepts quickly and retain that knowledge.
•Demonstrated experience interacting with a variety of individuals in a positive, professional manner.
•Basic computer skills required. Prefer experience with Microsoft Office programs and applicable data entry systems.
•Background and Motor Vehicle Record will be checked. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record is required.
•Fluent in English, both written and verbal is required. Preference will be given for fluency in Spanish, Portuguese or French.
•Background check will be conducted.
