Life New Business and Underwriting & Policy Change is growing and we’re in need of a motivated and adaptable individual to support our officers.   As a strategist, consultant and implementer, the successful candidate will ensure streamlined activities within the organization based on the priorities of the VP of LNBUW&PC. The assistant will handle day-to-day management of meetings and meeting logistics, travel, expenses and correspondence/communications. The right candidate for the job will contribute to the long-term success of the company.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Review correspondence directed to the Vice President, exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling of correspondence ensuring the appropriate actions are taken on behalf of the Vice President.
  2. Responsible for updating, creating, and designing PowerPoint presentations.
  3. MUST have advanced understanding of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  4. Responsible for incoming calls directed to the Vice President, identify questions/concerns. 
  5. Responsible for maintaining the calendar of the Vice President which requires the incumbent to exercise judgment on each request to determine the level of importance and schedule meetings accordingly.
  6. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality on all matters coming into or going out of the Executive’s office.
  7. Create employee communications and maintain department SharePoint site with pertinent information.
  8. Responsible for maintaining and ensuring department distribution lists are up to date and accurate.
  9. Act as point of contact and provide support for the onboarding of new team members.

 

  1. Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and retention of significant organizational reports.
  2. Handle travel arrangements for the Vice President as well as other executives; these arrangements can range from small in scope to large in scope when several individuals are traveling to the same event. Responsible for establishing travel arrangements that are seamless in nature.
  3. Responsible for greeting guests on site, Incumbent needs to represent the organization with a professional demeanor and have the ability to identify situations that need handling in a professional manner and take the necessary actions to handle such situations.
  4. As stated within the Company Attendance and Punctuality policy, regular attendance is required and expected in order to meet the business service levels and workflow demands.
  5. Participate in other initiatives and/or projects as necessary.
