DESCRIPTION

Responsible for ensuring the organization has an engaged work environment that adheres to all applicable employment laws at all times through effective coaching/education of management, and prompt review and resolution of employee concerns. Responsible for a variety of other HR Generalist duties, Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide exceptional customer service to all employees and guests. Maintain a professional work environment with management and staff. • Provide coaching and counseling to management and employees. • Facilitate resolution of employee relations issues and employee/supervisor conflict. • Lead employee relations investigations, including employment law violation complaints. • Handle all unemployment protests and hearings, coordinating with department managers for attendance • Serve as a resource for Employee Guide interpretation. • Create and track company metrics, to include attrition, retention, unemployment and worker’s compensation statistics • Review ADA requests and work with department managers to create reasonable accommodations • Work with HR Specialist to approve FMLA, Emergency Medical Leave, and pregnancy leaves. • Meet with new management staff to establish a working relationship and to go over HR processes and procedures. • Work with Attendance Enterprise vendors to create programming for attendance policy changes, as well as fix any problems with the program. • Review all voluntary resignations, handle exit interviews, track/analyze exit interview data, and work with management as needed to respond to trends in exit data. • Review all disciplinary action and reviews, working with management as needed, and track overdue reviews. • Order training materials and office supplies as needed. • Track employee attendance at training and follows up with appropriate employees and leadership to ensure all appropriate training has taken place.

REQUIREMENTS
PHR Certification preferred. Experience with FMLA, safety and workers compensation desired. Previous HR Manager/Supervisor role necessary for consideration.
