Academic Advisor


Hours: 9am-6pm Mon.-Thur.; 8am-5pm Fri.
Full-time position with State Benefit Package 


University Center in Sioux Falls is seeking a people-oriented, self-motivated individual as an Academic Advisor. We are seeking applicants with strong interpersonal skills who are organized, detail oriented and can work independently and cooperatively as a team member.


Bachelor's degree and related experience in higher education required. Master's degree and student services experience preferred. Primary responsibilities: provide first-year students with academic support services; assist students to determine academic goals; develop and conduct orientation programs; monitor student progress; maintain records in accordance with policy.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree and related experience in higher education required. Master's degree and student services experience preferred.

Knowledge of:
• Modern office equipment and practices.

• Word processing, database, and spreadsheet software.
