SALARY: Dependent on experience and qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES: LSS is looking for a dynamic individual to provide family, individual and group therapy, to clients within LSS Behavioral Health Services in the Rapid City area in-person, family homes and via telehealth. Provide counseling to individuals and families that best serves the needs of the family utilizing Functional Family Therapy and evidence-based group curriculum. Attend team meetings and participate in clinical consultations. Maintain client case records and complete paperwork within agency standards. Uphold ethical standards of agency and respective licensing board, if applicable.  

LSS Behavioral Health Services is a statewide service. In addition to providing counseling services through the Juvenile Justice Reinvestment Initiative (JJRI), LSS also provides outpatient counseling on a sliding fee scale, evidence-based services for the Criminal Justice Initiative substance use services and school-based mental health services. LSS maintains offices in Sioux Falls, Aberdeen, Brookings, Rapid City, and Watertown.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree required in counseling, social work, or related field; prefer two years’ experience. Strong communication skills. Experience with technology, electronic health records and telehealth services.

Must successfully complete all agency background checks. Requires valid driver’s license and ability to obtain approved driver status.
