JOB PURPOSE:


Lead digital content strategy for Midco’s websites and email programs. Develop plans, create content, carry out strategies and optimize content performance to support marketing, sales and customer experience goals.


KEY FUNCTIONS:



  • Develop, write and update web content that presents the ideal user experience and meets intended goals. Content may include, but is not limited to: product and benefit information, sales and promotional messaging, page descriptions/meta tags, customer help tools and documentation.

  • Publish content and other digital assets using the company’s CMS for internal and external websites.

  • Monitor KPIs for SEO and site search by forecasting trends and suggesting solutions to boost web presence. Partner with internal stakeholders and external agencies to optimize performance.

  • Develop and lead an ongoing content maintenance and optimization plan. Combine data analysis, user research, content audits and other sources to determine ways to drive digital conversions, and improve user experience and engagement.

  • Execute and help develop digital marketing campaigns.

  • Serve as the digital marketing representative in web sprints and app iterations. Perform quality assurance on new content and pages before go-live.

  • Keep up to date with the latest digital technology developments, identifying new and evolving opportunities for the company.

  • Assist in writing and maintaining online company descriptions and Google locations, and provide reputation management and social media support as needed.

  • Partner with social and marketing strategy team members to optimize digital execution of campaigns.

  • Understand when content for internal and external audiences intersects – and continually ensure alignment and clarity.

  • Document the company’s own digital best practices for writing, design and deployment. Educate and guide internal and agency staff.

  • Serve as liaison to development team working on new and updated web and app deployments.

  • Adhere to Midco privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.

  • Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:



  • Bachelor’s degree required. Focus in marketing, advertising or related field preferred.

  • At least five years of proven experience as a digital marketing content strategist.

  • Demonstrable experience with SEO (Moz), keyword research planning, CMS and CRM software, UX and web heat-mapping tools.

  • Google Analytics and Adwords certifications required, with current experience implementing and optimizing campaigns, and analyzing web stats.

  • Excellent command of English language required (specifically, writing for the web), plus strong analytical, project management, problem solving and verbal communications skills preferred.

  • Familiarity with agile software development, as well as the telecommunications industry, a plus.


WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:



  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 30 lbs.

  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.

  • Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
