Summary of the Position:

The Executive Director of Corporate Services is a contributing member of the Executive Management Team. This business management position is responsible for the organization’s Human Resources Department. The position further oversees the processes of departments not related to programming or development. Ensures that all assigned departments deliver service in a responsive, customer-focused, and cost-effective manner. This is an exempt position.


1. Actively participates as a member of the Management Team – embracing the mission, vision and values of the organization.
2. Supports strategic planning by establishing processes that move the organization’s vision and direction forward.
3. Working with the Human Resources Manager, successfully directs operational activities of the Human Resources Department. This includes usual and customary supervisory responsibilities.
4. Oversees the processes of assigned corporate departments including, but not limited to, Accounting and Facilities to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and quality of service.
5. Endorses the organization’s expectations and structure by formulating, updating and advocating the general personnel policies, including handbook revisions. Ensures that corporate policies are applied with regard to employee issues.
6. In concert with the Human Resources Manager, oversees the employee benefits program, making benefit recommendations to the Management Team.
7. Ensures legal compliance by monitoring current federal, state, and corporate guidelines and regulations and advises the Management Team of recommended action.
8. Completes compensation reports and recommendations by gathering, analyzing and summarizing pay data and trend information and by monitoring changes in wages on an individual basis. Integrates compensation recommendations with organizational strategy.
9. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending appropriate workshops/seminars and by reviewing professional publications as directed by the President of St. Joseph's Indian School.
10. Contributes to department success by completing other responsibilities as required by the President of St. Joseph's Indian School.


• Bachelor’s required; MBA preferred
• Applicable business management experience in lieu of MBA accepted
• Supervisory experience required
• Experience in Human Resources preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Skilled in Microsoft Office
