Job Summary:
The Internal Audit Manager is responsible for performing individual internal audit projects, as part of the total internal audit plan. This responsibility includes developing internal audit scope, performing internal audit procedures, and preparing internal audit reports reflecting the results of the work performed. Work performed will include coverage of functional and operating units, focusing on financial, IT and operational processes. 

Essential Job Functions:
Establish the objectives of the audit based on the risk assessment.
Develop specific audit procedures to accomplish the objectives of the audit to determine whether assets are adequately safeguarded and whether policies, plans, and procedures are in compliance.    
Assist in the development of the annual audit plan.
Perform specific audit tests and document work performed in the audit work papers.
Draw conclusions based on the results of tests performed.
Coordinate the completion and reporting of all follow-up audits.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Conduct meetings and interviews with all levels of management and personnel.
Perform thorough studies of business processes for areas under audit.
Assess the risks of the business process being audited.
Determine compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Manages virtual teams throughout the audit process.
Hold preliminary discussions of the audit findings with operating personnel to verify facts and to ensure that everyone has a thorough understanding of the nature, source and extent of the issue.
Coordinates progress/significant developments with the other audit team member(s) on and reviews audit staff work papers to ensure the accuracy of the work and consistency of the work papers.
Organize the audit work papers in a manner conducive to developing a report on audit results, findings, and recommendations.
Prepare reports detailing the audit results, findings, and recommendations, and following up to ensure the recommendations are implemented.
Evaluate opportunities for improvement in operational efficiency cost effectiveness and internal controls.
Establishes and maintains relationships with business units.
Works with Meta’s Certified Public Accountants to assist in their work.
Assists with Meta’s service vendors and/or advertising agencies selected for audit.
Stay abreast of emerging issues involving internal audit and changes to federal and state banking laws, rules and regulations that could impact the organization.
Complete annual required educational requirements.

Job Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree from a college or university with a major in accounting, finance, computer science or operations management required.
Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, CISA, or CFSA preferred.
At least five years in Accounting, Auditing or other related experience required.
Basic understanding of financial services industry, association rules, banking regulations and operating procedures, and processor systems.
Federal Banking Regulations
Regulatory agencies such as SEC, PCAOB, OCC, FRB, FDIC, CFPB, and FFIEC
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing
Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
