DESCRIPTION

This position starts out at $15.65 and up, depending on experience.


Summary   


Collect, prepare, test and analyze samples in order to determine gradation and characteristics, using laboratory apparatus and testing equipment. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 



  • Conduct testing of Company’s products from various locations according to pre-set procedures.

  • Ensuring tests conform to State and/or ASTM standards.

  • Must be able to work varied hours.

  • Must be able to conduct limited travel.

  • Valid Driver’s License required.

  • Must be able to work independently with little or no direct supervision.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • This is for day shift


Education and/or Experience                                                 



  • AAS degree in civil engineering desirable, or

  • A combination of post-secondary education and experience, or

  • High School education.


Computer Skills 



  • Knowledge of MS Excel Spreadsheet and MS Word software. 


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations 



  • Valid driver's license is required.

  • SDDOT Aggregate Test Technician certification desirable.

  • Ability and willingness to pass ACI Level I Certification

Certain job tasks may require you to wear a half mask respirator in which you will need to meet the osha guidelines based on 1910.134(g)(1)(i).
