Job Description

Respond and attend to guest repair requests.

Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems.

Communicate with staff to comprehend what they want and to provide them with information and assistance.

Ability to interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units.

Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.

Ability to work under pressure situations and exercise good judgements.

Ability to focus attention on details, speed and accuracy.

Perform maintenance repairs in guest rooms – plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repair all types of hardware, drywall and paint repairs, electrical equipment including lamps, AC/HVAC units and plumbing.

Perform maintenance activities in hotel public areas like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing and electrical equipment and cosmetic items.

Program TV's and perform general engineering-related inventory duties.

To be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates, and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency.

Carry out specific oral and written instructions.

Maintains the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
 

To be able to work in a neat and efficient manner, keeping work areas clean and well organized. Ability to multi-task in busy environment and adheres to hotel the Standard Operating Procedures.

Minimum 1 to 2 years hotel experience or a similar role with a good understanding of English, both written and oral.

A high school diploma or related vocational training. Background check is required.

On top of building equipment and hand tools, you’ll have a working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical and preventative maintenance procedures.

Other:

Specialized knowledge and skills or certification within a field or discipline such as plumbing, electrician, carpentry, equipment mechanics, HVAC, refrigeration, etc.

May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

CPO Certification a plus, however not required. We will pay for this training.
