Job Description
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will work as a part of team where discipline and rigor are the highest priorities. You will perform complex operations that require a high level of attention, concentration and coordination. You will learn the operations of various lift trucks that are a part of receiving, production, and shipping.
Pay range is $22.25 - $28.00 based upon experience.
A MATERIAL HANDLER MUST BE ABLE TO:
- Handle parts and material in a safe manner using overhead crane or forklift;
- Load, unload or move various products and material to put them away into the appropriate space;
- Assist during the flanges receiving;
- Complete receiving reports;
- Operate a vacuum plate lifter to unload plates from trucks or wagons;
- Drive a truck equipped with a trailer to load and ensure a constant supply of plates to the production team;
- Operate small, medium, and heavy lift trucks;
- Spend up to 50% of your time out of the lift assisting within other departments as needed;
- Perform other duties as assigned by the production supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Climb stairs and ladders, work at heights;
- Lift and carry between 30-70 lbs.;
- Stand and walk for long periods of time;
- Bend, kneel, sqaut, twist, reach;
- Work above shoulders;
- Tolerate exposure to weather, hot/cold environments;
