JOB SUMMARY: The Operations Center Specialist will assist in providing extended hour support for Avera's mission critical services to ensure uninterrupted flow of all data and services. They will monitor networks, servers and applications for issues and provide technical support including initial triaging, troubleshooting, fix, and/or contacting with appropriate department or on-call staff. During issues they will be responsible for following incident response and communications procedures.


  • Utilizes software and hardware tools to identify, diagnose, and correct problems affecting systems performance in an operations center environment.


  • Respond to alerts, outages and alarms according to Standard Operating Procedures and escalating to appropriate technical teams when needed.


  • Monitor a wide variety of information and network systems that include, but are not limited to telecommunications circuits, LAN/WAN systems, routers, switches, firewalls, VoIP systems, servers, storage, backup, operating systems and core applications.



· Associates degree in related area is preferred.

· Experience with information technology operations including servers, networking and application support and monitoring.

· Experience using a variety of monitoring and ticket management tools is preferred.

· Process orientated with strong attention to details and commitment to continuous improvement.
