Job Description
Freedom Enterprises Inc. is hiring for a Route Driver to run from Sioux Falls, SD to Minneapolis and Hudson, WI and back to Sioux Falls, SD every Sunday through Thursday nights. This is year around steady work hauling pharmaceuticals. And because of that, drug screening and background checks are required before employment can begin.
This position is primarily driving a non CDL straight truck with a 26' dry van box. However, due to the other operational needs of the company, it would be beneficial if the applicant had a Class A CDL to cover other routes and to assist in moving equipment around from location to location.
Normal shift starts at 3:15PM and will finish whenever you return to Sioux Falls. Which is typically around 1:30AM. Also, due to expanding business opportunities, these hours may be adjusting in the near future and fluctuate slightly.
Due to the importance of the commodity being transported, 2 years driving experience is required. We do drive in all types of weather conditions and therefore over nights in hotels or in the sleepers should be expected if the weather forces us to cease operations. We are a commited transport provider, but also a safe and reliable transport provider!!
Wage will depend on experience and whether or not the applicant possesses a CDL or not. Somewhere between $20 and $27/hr. In addition to the salary, we offer health insurance and dental and vision after 60 days. As well as LTD, 401k with 4% match and many more benefits. Along with 2 weeks of vacation after 1 year and paid Holidays.
