Job Summary


Adams Thermal Systems (ATS) is a world-class manufacturer of engine cooling systems for off-highway and on-highway vehicle applications. We have a current opening for a Production Master Planner/Scheduler


Summary of Duties:


Responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all aspects of inventory as developed in coordination with the sales plan, production schedule and inventory plan. This effort will be accomplished by working as part of a team with production supervision, team leaders, and the Materials Department.


Responsibilities and Duties


Responsibilities included, but not limited to:



  • Demand Planning: Planning, scheduling, and procuring raw materials and prepare to place finished goods production orders for various foreign and domestic vendors.

  • Forecasting Analyst: Running and analyzing weekly/monthly sales reports. Creating replenishment forecasts using historical trends and sales input at the SKU level or item level. Providing foreign vendor with future forecast to prepare raw materials to help reduce lead time and secure capacity.

  • Created working relationship with customer to ensure product is available when ordered. Entered and monitored separate replenishment forecasts for retail customers to help reduce overstock or obsolete inventory.

  • Expert in AS400


 

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Skills

Requirements:

Understands material flow and production scheduling techniques and has aptitude to perform inventory analysis.
Strong knowledge of MS Office software (including Excel and Word).
Able to communicate with customers and suppliers professionally as a representative of the company.
Two years experience preferred in a manufacturing environment or related service position.
The ability to operate in a team based structure focused on continuous improvement.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Experience with AS400 based systems and JD Edwards software preferred.
Demonstrates the ability to conceptualize problem situations, analyze alternatives and prioritize/implement necessary corrective actions.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor Degree in related field.
2+ years in a manufacturing environment.
Experience and expertise of AS400.
