Excellent Opportunity Service Advisor/Service Manager/Shop Supervisor Next2New is looking for an experienced car and truck mechanic to supervise our mechanic shop and do diagnostics and supervise the quality of work coming out of our shop. Perfect opportunity for a good auto tech to move into managing the service department and manage the automotive technicians in the shop. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage 5 or 6 automotive technicians and keep the quality of work that the shop is producing at a high level.... Next2New Auto is Repair Shop & Auto Dealer that has been in business for 19 years and we are located on west 12th Street & Marion Road in Sioux Falls.

All levels of experience are welcome to apply, although we prefer a minimum of 5 years in a full service shop. We offer a very competitive pay to start. Your pay is based off of your experience and knowledge.

This is a full time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week, with a potential for overtime.

Hours:

Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

REQUIREMENTS: 

-Greet customers upon arrival to shop
-Ascertain reason for customer visit through verbal interview and visual assessment of vehicle
-Consult with mechanics regarding appropriate service options
-Develop as many solution methods as possible, attempting to keep costs low
-Explain all service options to customers including time and cost estimates
-Provide in-depth information on original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part options
-Advise customers on warranty protections and other potential cost-saving service options
-Track maintenance or repair status, fill out reports on labor and cost of all services
-Perform post-service inspection with customers and answer any questions they may have
-Perform customer service duties i.e. answering the phone, scheduling service appointments, and calling customers to inform them their vehicles are ready for pick up
-Manage shop workflow and schedule for mechanics and technicians
-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Bachelor’s degree prefered
-5+ year in the automotive industry prefered
-Excellent interpersonal communication skills
-Ability to explain complicated automotive concepts to visitors who may not be familiar with industry terminology
-Compassionate, patient demeanor
-Problem solving/critical thinking skills
