You must perform all shuttle driver duties in accordance with the Company policies and procedures.  You are responsible for providing guests with safe, courteous and reliable transportation to and from the hotel using the hotel shuttle vehicle.  You may be asked to perform other duties, from time to time, which are not stated in this job description.

Immediate supervisor: The general manager is your immediate supervisor.  In the absence of the general manager, the assistant general manager and/or guest service manager (whichever is applicable to the hotel) is your immediate supervisor.  In the absence of your immediate supervisors, the Director of Operations assigned to the hotel is available to answer questions.
Dress Code: You must wear a uniform with a name tag (provided by the Company) which only uses your first name, and closedtoe shoes of appropriate nature (athletic shoes are not acceptable).  All employees must wear the same color combinations.  You will be furnished with two uniforms (if you would like more than two uniforms, you must pay for additional ones).  You are responsible for maintaining the condition and cleanliness of your uniforms.  Follow the washing instructions tag attached to each uniform.  If your uniform is torn or damaged due to normal use, your uniform will be replaced or repaired as needed.  When you receive your uniforms, you must sign an authorization form.  By signing this form, you are acknowledging that you have received the uniforms for use while employed at the hotel and have authorized the hotel to deduct $15.00 from your final pay for each uniform damaged due to your intentional acts or not returned to the hotel when employment ends

15. Has and maintains a valid driver's license.
16. Must be insurable while driving.
17. Is able to speak and read effectively in the English language.
18. Complies with BBP, OSHA, and Hazcomm 2012 standards.  Knows the potential hazards of any chemicals used and the proper personal protective equipment required.  Uses personal protective equipment as directed by Safety Data Sheets

Essential job duties and responsibilities:

1. Has the ability to report to work on time.

6. Has the ability to walk, stand, remain stationary for long periods of time; ability to walk up and down stairs, reach to heights of up to 72 inches, bend to the floor, lift, push, pull when specific job duties require.
7. Answers any questions about the hotel and community, is knowledgeable about the location of attractions, restaurants, shopping, churches, and answers complaints or concerns by the guests. 
8. Is part of the hotel’s security team and is responsible for immediately reporting, orally or in writing, any potential safety or security hazards to immediate supervisor. 
9. Promotes all Company/Brand loyalty programs.
10. Responsible for safely operating hotel shuttle vehicle from the hotel to the specified destination and back to the hotel using the safest and most direct route.
11. Loads hotel guests’ luggage in and out of the vehicle, as well as assists guests in and out of the vehicle using a step stool.  Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs. to a height of 36 to 42 inches.
12. Responsible for being aware of any changes in hotel operations or policies.
13. Operates the shuttle vehicle with reasonable care and obeys all traffic laws.
14. Performs basic maintenance on shuttle vehicle (check tire pressure, fills with gas, cleans windows, and inside and outside of vehicle).
15. Keeps lights, brakes, tires, and safety equipment in an operational and safe condition.
16. Checks oil and other vehicle fluids daily to maintain proper levels.
17. Notifies immediate supervisor regarding any unsafe conditions and/or equipment that needs repair.
18. Keeps radio at a low volume and on an approved radio station.
19. Uses hotel-owned electronic devices such as radios (walkie-talkie) professionally and only for hotel business; cannot use cell phone or other personal electronic devices while operating vehicle. 
20. Keeps front desk area and lobby clean and orderly at all times (dust, vacuum, clean windows and doors, empty trash and ashtrays, etc.).  Must be able to operate (push and pull) a vacuum cleaner, weighing approximately 20 lbs.
21. Keeps all entrances and sidewalk areas free of snow and ice at all times.  Able to lift a shovel and snow, weighing   approximately 20 lbs. Also, requires pushing snow and chopping ice accumulations.
22. Follows all emergency procedures and knows how to respond in the event of different types of emergencies.  This requires mobility to travel from room to room and up and down stairs to notify guests and also assists guests in evacuating the hotel.
Other duties and responsibilities:
1. Must be able to perform all job duties of the guest services representative (see Guest Services Representative Job Description).
2. Does not ask for gratuities (tips), or indirectly seek gratuities by using a sign or cup, hat or any receptacle.
3. Performs any additional duties that, from time to time, may be assigned by immediate supervisor.
