Job Description
Cornerstone Industries, LLC is seeking a part-time 10-24 hrs per week in a Steel Fabrication Shop Assistant in Brandon, South Dakota. Must be 18 years old. Flexible with hours.
1. Operating Machiner: You will be responsible for opertaing various machinery and equipment related to the manufacturiing process. This could include machine tools, ban saw, assembly equipment, or specialized machinery specific to Cornerstone Industries, LLC.
2. Assembly and Production: You will participate in the preparation and production of steel products for assembly according to established procedures and quality standards. This may involve tasks such as assembly components, monitoring production and ensuring efficient flow of materials.
3. Material Handling: You will be involved in the movement and handling of raw materials, components, and finished products within the shop floor. This may include tasks such as loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, and transporting good using forklifts or other equipment.
4. Shipping and Receiving: You will assist in receiving, packing and shipping orders.
5. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: You may be required to perform basic maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating and replacing worn out parts.
6. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to the safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. You will be expected to follow safety guidelines, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any safety hazards or incidents.
7. Collaboration and Communication: As a shop worker, you will often work as part of a team. Effective communication and collaboration with supervisors and collegues, to ensure smooth operations and meet productivity targets.
