Job Title:  Systems Administrator/Technical Support

Job Overview:
The Systems Administrator/Technical Support is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.  This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Identify, analyze, troubleshoot and resolve technical desktop service requests.
Handle technical support for end users requests.
Assistance with daily help desk requests.
Provide technical support for the implementation of Operational projects.
Installs hardware and peripheral components such as desktops, laptops, phones, monitors, keyboards, printers, and other equipment as needed.
Perform backups and hardware and software installations for various systems in the supported departments.
Train users in new hardware and software applications as applicable.

Education:  Preferred BS/BA degree specializing in Computer Sciences or related technical field of study.
Minimum three years of applicable experience in providing technical support or related analytical functions.
Experience with or participation in hardware and software installations.          
General understanding of  network performance and troubleshooting
Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and MS Exchange Server.
Experience with desktop operating systems (Windows 7 & 10, MAC)
Experience with Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge of and experience with other database management systems.

Language/Reasoning/Mathematical or other specific skills:
Ability to simplify and present technical information in written or oral form.
Detail oriented.
Self-disciplined and self-motivated.
Works well as part of a team.
