DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY: The Tax Manager is responsible for managing tax reporting and compliance within Avera and its Entities. The Manager ensures tax returns for Avera non-profit and for-profit ventures are completed and accurate to minimize tax obligations and penalties. The Tax Manager is also responsible for reporting and compliance relative to 1099 reporting, unclaimed property, sales tax, property tax, and use tax filings for Avera and its Entities.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or related field required with a working knowledge of Finance and Accounting systems.

Master's degree preferred.

Experience with national accounting firm preferred.

At least 5 years of experience in healthcare tax management and compliance preferred.

At least 5 years of managerial experience preferred.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate preferred.
