Role
The purpose of the role of Operator is to set up, tear down, and run flow-wrapper machines to the optimal levels.
Responsibilities
Correctly set up and operate flow-wrappers
Responsible for achieving machine uptime goals
Coordinate flow-wrapper improvements with maintenance and production supervisor
Execute flow-wrapper changeovers
Perform maintenance to prevent breakdowns and reduce down times
Keep work areas clean
Knowledge of food safety
Knowledge of product specifications
Knowledge of food quality
Report on emergency repair needs, and record needed future repairs
Analyze and determine root cause for equipment downtime
Support team lead on production line
Train new team members in specific duties and machine safety
Read labels and product spec sheets
Ability to backfill Senior Lead position
Education & Training Requirements
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Work Experience Requirements
1+ years in a production facility
Food manufacturing experience preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to stand, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull, and stand for up to 10 hours a day. Lifting requirements are 25lb regularly and up to 50lb occasionally
