Hourly, Non-Exempt
$19/hour, $1 2nd shift differential
Eligible for raise after 90 days pending performance
Hours: 2nd - 3:55pm - 1:00am, Monday through Friday with some Saturdays
Role
The purpose of the material handler is to support production by distributing ingredients, transferring the finished goods to the freezer, and accurately move all products in the ERP system.
Responsibilities
· Participate in the set-up and tear down of the production floor
· Ensure lines have their proper ingredients needed at the correct time to avoid downtime
· Work collaboratively with the production manager, supervisor(s), leads, and operators
· Operate a pallet jack to move products to and from the appropriate place
· Support the completion of cycle counts as directed by your supervisor
· Verify finished goods are within quality standards
· Verify labels and product specification sheets match the product to the line
· Follow all regulations and requirements to comply with Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards
· Accurately move, consume, and update product in the ERP system and ensure inventory consistency
· Any additional duties as assigned by your supervisor
Physical Demands and Work Environment
· Ability to stand, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull, and stand for up to 10 hours a day.
· Lifting requirements are 25lb regularly and up to 50lb occasionally
· Exposure to variation in temperature – including freezers and coolers
Expectations
· Basic light industrial skills
· Entry level math skills
· Accurately use the ERP system for inventory purposes
· Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
· Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
· Ability to operate a pallet jack
· Hearing and visual capability

Education & Training Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED preferred
Work Experience Requirements
· 1+ years in a production facility
· Food manufacturing experience preferred
