Job Description
Primary responsibilities include working with customers in many aspects of the account life cycle including but not limited to ensuring all required business documentation is received, reconciling accounts, bringing accounts current, and assisting with any related accounting issues. The position also requires following up with customers on overdue invoices, managing work queues to reduce financial risk, and completing other job duties as needed.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Take inbound calls from internal and external customers and make outbound calls in relation to outstanding balances, held orders, obtaining required forms, and updating account information
- Responsible for reviewing accounts for extension of credit outside the account guidelines and implementing said negotiation including terms and credit limit
- Work with customers to reconcile accounts, bring current, and assisting with any related accounting issues
- Work with customers who have skipped invoices on payments to ensure timely payments
- Work queues daily to lower exposure to risk
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- 2 years of experience with customer communications, including resolving issues and working with customer accounts
- 2 years of phone/call center prior experience a plus
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Able to work in a team environment as well as individually
- Must be able to communicate effectively, verbal and written, with both internal and external customers
- Strong attention to detail, excellent time management and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to complete diverse tasks simultaneously
- Must demonstrate a sound work ethic

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, speak, listen, type, and walk.
- May be noisy at times.
- Monday through Friday. Additional varied hours as needed.
- Must be able to use a phone, computer, keyboard, and company software programs.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
