Job Description
A private local Sioux Falls area Company is seeking an Accounting Professional to join the team. A successful individual for this position is detail-oriented and committed to learning aspects of a medium-sized company accounting system. An applicant should be able to follow instructions and accomplish work with a focus on accuracy. A candidate should possess proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with specific emphasis on Excel. Please note in your cover letter or resume accounting software(s) you have experience with.
· Bi-weekly payroll for employees & paying payroll taxes along with all that is involved with tracking for PTO, Benefits, etc.
· Payroll reconciliations and reports
· Assist in contract billings
· Bank account and credit card reconciliations monthly
· Sales Tax preparation and submission
· Accounts receivable
· Accounts payable invoice coding/processing/input
· Special accounting and spreadsheet projects
· Answer phone system as needed
· Performs other related duties as assigned
· An applicant should be an experienced bookkeeper or accountant with preference to those with a degree in accounting, but not mandatory.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel)
· Experience with accounting software(s)
· Efficient time management skills being able to meet deadlines without any issues
· Able to change processes to make them more efficient
· Excellent verbal communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Good written communication skills and follow-up capabilities on outstanding items needed for company files
· Valid Driver's license
· Negotiable $25-$30/hr DOE
