Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Record daily general ledger activity

- Process accounts payable invoices and reconcile vendor statements

- Conduct daily bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records

- Serve as the accounting lead for project implementations and new business lines

- Act as the primary backup for other accounting positions

- Handle customer invoicing and payment collection

- Calculate and process amounts due to vendors

- Reconcile the general ledger and complete month-end close processes

- Maintain fixed asset listings and calculate monthly depreciation

- Generate financial reports and conduct analysis of employee expenditures

- File and remit taxes, including preparation of 1099s and collection of vendor W-9 forms

- Assist in the training of new staff and maintain accounting procedure manuals

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Accounting

- 2-5 years of general accounting experience

- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to Advanced)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

- Personable, positive, and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team

- Flexibility and willingness to support several departments

- Local or open to relocate to Sioux Falls, SD
