Carlson & Stewart Refrigeration, Inc. is a design-build refrigeration contractor specializing in Commercial and Industrial refrigeration systems for customers in the upper Midwest with offices in Marshall, MN, Sauk Rapids, MN and Sioux Falls, SD. 

Carlson & Stewart Refrigeration, Inc. is seeking a permanent full-time Ammonia Refrigeration Service Technicians for its Sauk Rapids, MN and Marshall, MN locations. We are looking for a technician interested in working on a variety of equipment for a wide range of customers that is eager to help our customers solve their needs while working as part of a professional team.

    • Starting hourly rate based on experience

    • Paid travel time: Travel time is paid from the employees' home to work site, or main office location to work site - Whichever is closest. 

    • Per Diem plus hotel paid when travel required

Duties/Responsibilities including but not limited to: 

The Refrigeration Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of Ammonia refrigeration systems.  Successful candidates will be able to troubleshoot and diagnose system issues and perform necessary installations and repairs on equipment and systems utilizing Ammonia/NH3 refrigerants.  A high level of electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills is required. 

Requirements: 

  • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
  • Physically able to climb ladders, work at high elevations, and lift objects up to fifty pounds.
  • Must understand and adhere to all work safety policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relations.
  • Availability to be on call nights and/or weekends as required.

Experience:

  • Prior training and experience (a minimum of 2 years) with Ammonia refrigeration is required.
