The assistant property manager position requires a bubbly personality who thrives on making people smile. The assistant property manager will serve as the face of the company and is a highly customer service and sales-oriented role. The ideal candidate is a people-loving go getter who’s passionate about creating amazing customer experiences. This position works alongside a property manager to keep things running smoothly with a special focus on leasing and marketing an upscale portfolio of apartments and lofts which will involve frequent travel to multiple properties located downtown Sioux Falls. This position is the go-to person for future residents, guiding them through tours and making them feel right at home from day one.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Arrive on time, ready to conquer the day!
Catch up on any missed leasing calls or emails from the night before (responsiveness is important)
Walk all areas of the property (which we call the 4 corners) to ensure the property is trash free and looks its best for the residents and visitors that day.
Prepare the apartments that you plan to show that day, making sure they are sparkling clean, smell good, the lights are on, and the path to get there is pristine. Work closely with the maintenance team to resolve any problem areas.
Be excited to show your portfolio of properties by scheduling as many tours as possible with potential residents, leasing is the key to success and it’s fun!
Complete your scheduled tours of your properties with future residents, making them fall in love with you, and their new home!
Check-In with your pending applicants on the status of their application, making them excited for move-in day!
Utilize your creativity by updating your properties social media pages, planning resident events, open houses, and any other fun marketing ideas you think of.
Your outlook calendar is your best friend, put everything on it, and proactively look at it to plan your day, week, and month.
Be available throughout the day for residents and future residents, people love to talk to you!
Schedule move-ins and walk the apartments to ensure they are sparkling clean and perfect for your new residents.
Assist current residents, help them with submitting work orders, setting up payment plans, and solving any other problems they may need help with.
Double check your marketing websites, ensuring your specials, rent prices, and pictures are up to date.
Treat everyone equally and fairly, it’s not only the law, but also the right thing to do.
Have fun, property management can be hard, but it can also be rewarding, and you will have the best team to support you.
Be ready to assist the property managers in anything they need, and to take care of anything that comes up that day, not everything can be planned for. Being open-minded and flexible is key.
