Job Title: Bartender
Reports to: Bar Manager/FOH Manager
Compensation Type: Hourly
Experience: Must have 2-3 years bar experience
Summary of Position: Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
o Greet customers with a smile and if possible, by name. Recognizing customers is essentials, always acknowledge customers even if you are busy
o Take beverage orders from guests and servers
o Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the establishment’s drink recipes
o Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt in the POS system
o Service guests in casino.
o Be attentive to customers, watch for empty glasses and offer refills accordingly.
o Accept payment of customer checks and give customers receipts
o Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
o Keep the bar area clean
o Check all customer identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age
o Know drink prices and ingredients
o Present drink menus, food menus and make recommendations and answer customer questions
o Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
o Stocking items for use in the bar using proper rotation procedures
o Minimize waste and spillage
o Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, washers, shelves, coolers and storage areas.
o Follow all health and safety regulations
o Monitor customers’ alcohol intake, slowing or stopping service for intoxicated customers
o Wash glassware and prepare garnishes
o Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the manager
o Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the establishment as directed by your manager or immediate supervisor.
Qualifications:
o Be at least 21 years of age
o Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes

o Ability to prepare and mix cocktails correctly
o Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money.
o Ability to operate a POS system, cash register and calculator
o Knowledge of proper glassware used for different types of drinks
o Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 12 hours)
o Ability to lift kegs, carry cases of liquor, beer and wine
o Strong customer service and communication skills
o Friendly personality and ability to create rapport with customers
