Job Description
The primary responsibility of this position is managing all aspects of the relationship with assigned vendors. These responsibilities include inventory management, damage and defective claims, and all communications with assigned vendors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for forecasting stock levels and placing inventory orders
- Responsible for communicating with vendors on pricing
- Report damage and defective claims to vendors
- Post inventory when received
- Approve freight invoices
- Work daily shipped journal for transfer add-ons
- Analyze data to arrange transfer of product to other warehouses
- Track PO’s and update arrival dates in the system
- Communicate with freight forwarder
- Arrange wire transfer details
- Approve invoices as needed
- Communication with warehouse managers
- Solve quality problems with vendors
- Answer questions for customer service and warehouses
- Quote custom products with vendors.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to use computer keyboard and company software programs.
- Must be able to use a computer, fax, copier, and phone.
- Monday through Friday, with additional and varied hours as needed.
Job Requirements
o High School diploma
o Minimum of two years purchasing related experience, four years equivalent professional experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, or one year experience working at JDS Industries.
o Purchasing/Logistics experience preferred
o Ability to use Business Computer Programs. Proficient in all Microsoft Office products.
