CDL Class A Driver Job Description: Dependable Class A CDL Driver adept at safely operating commercial vehicles and trailers while strictly adhering to federal, state, and local transportation regulations. The ideal candidate will uphold all traffic laws and company policies, ensuring a courteous and professional approach at all times. Additionally, maintaining accurate delivery records, collaborating effectively with crane operators, riggers, signalmen, and logistics teams, and consistently delivering exceptional customer service to clients and vendors are integral aspects of this role.
Job Shift and Schedule: Full time Monday - Friday
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Valid & Current Class A CDL (Combination & Airbrake Endorsements)
- 3+ Years Of Experience
- Ability To Lift 50+ LBS
- Ability To Work Well In A Team Or Independent Setting
- Clean Driving Record
- DOT Medical Card
- Ability To Travel Intrastate
- Ability To Work Out Of Town 1 Week Per Month
- OSHA 10
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and drive a Class A commercial vehicle & trailer in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Transport materials & equipment to and from specified destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries, including logbooks, bills of lading, and other relevant documentation.
- Collaborate with crane operator, rigger/signalman and logistics teams to ensure efficient loading, unloading, & setup of crane/equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients and vendors.
