Work Schedule: Full time position requiring flexible schedule.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Residential Supervisor for the CHOICES residential program provides daily supervision and direction to Direct Support Professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to the individuals supported. This position is responsible for maintaining the efficient operation of the residential facility while overseeing the implementation of objectives, goals, behavior intervention plans, and rights restrictions for people supported. The Residential Supervisor also provides ongoing support, supervision, and evaluation of Direct Support Professionals, guiding them in their development and performance.
The Residential Supervisor works closely with staff to plan and assist in the development and supervision of all participant activities, ensuring that all service needs are met in a timely and professional manner. In addition, they offer consultation and direction to staff regarding participant services, ensuring the team is well-equipped to provide the best care possible. By demonstrating leadership, empathy, and professional integrity, the Residential Supervisor fosters a positive, empowering environment for both staff and individuals supported.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Staff
A. Develop staff schedule to ensure 24-hour coverage.
B. Provide program specific orientation to new residential trainers.
Client Services
A. Assist with the implementation of Individual Service Plans and treatment plans for all residents.
B. Model and observe the implementation of the individual service plan objectives and supports and services.
C. Ensure the coverage of open shifts as needed.
D. Administer medications to participants as appropriate.
E. Ensure narratives and incident reports are written.
F. Meet with parents prior to and following family visits.
G. Participate in pre-placement meetings, annual ISP meetings, and discharge meetings as requested.
H. Attend program staff meetings and training sessions.
I. Assist with menu planning, food supply to ensure proper nutrition and documentation for participants.
Participant Responsibilities
A. Ensure participants’ SSI and wages are spent on their behalf and within individual budgets and audit client monies as needed
B. Ensure participant purchasing is completed to meet needs.
C. Complete inventory of clothing and personal belongings at least annually.
D. Monitor communications between participants, family and friends.
E. Monitor medications to ensure that participants are receiving appropriate medications and that documentation occurs.
Facility
A. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in facility.
B. Maintain safe working conditions.
C. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire codes
D. Identify facility needs and communicate needs to administrative staff.
E. Provide safety-sensitive transportation services as needed.
Responsible to carry out other duties as assigned to support program operations and goals.
POSITIONS QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor degree in counseling, social work, or related human service field
Experience: Minimum of two years related work experience, one of which must be in a residential setting or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills: Excellent communication skills, management and coordinative abilities required. Individual must possess the skills to treat and manage an adolescent population and understand the developmental needs of young people.
Certifications & Licenses: Valid Driver’s license required
Other Requirements: Requires consistent exercise of discretion and judgement in the performance of duties
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
A. Ability to Stand, Walk, sit, manually manipulate, reach outward and above shoulders, speak, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, and bend on a daily basis
B. Capability to Lift, carry, push or pull up to 100 lbs on a daily basis
