HOURS: Full time, 40 hours/week. Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with a rotation in the on-call schedule or as needed.

SALARY: Dependent on experience and qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES: Identify, assess, and collaborate with youth who have been placed at the Arise Youth Center as an alternative to detention. Extensive collaboration with youth, families, referral sources, law enforcement, and other community partners. Complete necessary follow ups, referrals, and documentation for individuals receiving services. This position will require crisis intervention, problem solving skills, as well as ability to educate young people on available services, life skills development and self-advocacy. May also provide supervision and support for youth in shelter care and reception center. Qualified applicant will provide direct client care, maintain/model appropriate boundaries, and teach applicable coping and problem-solving skills. Complete reports and documentation as necessary. Prepare accurate and timely documentation and reports as necessary. Assess client’s needs, and assist them with appropriate services, support, decisions, and plans.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral or social science field preferred; or post-secondary education and a minimum of one year experience working with children; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must successfully complete all agency background checks. Requires valid driver’s license and ability to obtain approved driver status.
