Job Description

Sentinel Federal Credit Union is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Commercial Loan Processor. In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential clerical and servicing support for all phases of commercial and construction loan activities. Your tasks will include updating account information and ensuring that all data is accurately entered into our systems. You will be responsible for drafting loan documents for underwriting, ordering title work, and appraisals, while also following up with outside sources for outstanding documents to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines. Your duties will extend to funding closed loans, assembling post-closing files, and processing timely draw requests and inspections. Additionally, you will prepare reports for management and serve as a backup to the Business Loan Officer. Effective communication will be key, as you will interact with members, brokers, builders, appraisers, and inspectors, fostering positive public relations. You will also be tasked with preserving member financial information, resolving underwriting conditions, and communicating loan status to all relevant parties. Further responsibilities include maintaining the Mortgage Escrow Program, processing lien perfections, monitoring member accounts, and ensuring the confidentiality of all Credit Union information. Classification: Full-Time Benefited

Minimum Starting Pay: $18.30 per hour DOE

Expected Start Date: Immediate Hire

Requirements/Preferences:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.

  • Associates or higher college degree preferred.

  • Combination of acceptable experience and education required.

Ability to work within precise standardized guidelines with some latitude to make decisions and take initiative to resolve problems or unique circumstances. Ability to use a rational and organized approach to completing tasks.
