Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Commercial Loan Processor to join our team. This role includes responsibility for providing processing and clerical support for all commercial and construction loan origination activities. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and efficient loan processing experience for our clients.

Job Duties Include:

  • Responsible for providing clerical and servicing support for all phases of commercial and construction loan activities, including updating and providing account information by verifying that information was entered into system correctly.

  • Responsible for accurately drafting loan documents for underwriting, including ordering title work and appraisal.

  • Follow up with outside sources of outstanding documents to ensure all necessary items are available for underwriting. Track development of information to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines. Ensuring documentation is in order prior to loan closing.

  • Responsible for funding closed loans, post-closing file assembly, and completing timely draw requests, inspections, and reviews.

  • Responsible for preparing reports required by management and serving as backup to the Business Loan Officer.

  • Communicate effectively and tactfully with members, brokers, builders, appraisers, and inspectors, thereby creating and maintaining good public relations in day-to-day contact and the handling of complicated issues.

  • Preserve and maintain all member financial information along with tax returns and other documents provided by the member.

  • Resolve conditions of underwriting. Submit loans for final approval.

  • Communicate loan status to all involved parties including buyer, seller, realtor, and title company representatives.

  • Prepare monthly status report.

  • Maintain and administer Mortgage Escrow Program.

  • Process and track lien perfections and satisfactions. Prepare and process mortgage loan payoff information. Process subsequent advances on open-end construction loans and home equity loans.

  • Monitor member accounts and loan balances and process mortgage payments on loans.

Position Details:

Job Title: Commercial Loan Processor

Classification: Full-Time, Benefited, In-Office

Minimum Starting Pay: $20.00 - $24.00/hour DOE plus incentive pay and bonus structure

Requirements/Preferences:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

  • A minimum of 18 years of age required.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.

  • Associates or higher college degree preferred.

  • Combination of acceptable experience and education required.

Ability to interact with more than one department daily. Ability to work within precise standardized guidelines with some latitude to make decisions and take initiative to resolve problems or unique circumstances. Ability to use a rational and organized approach to completing tasks.
