CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

This position is responsible to serve the needs of customers through face to face interaction and phone calls at Hardscapes Outlet. They must be able to sell or offer advice on available products and ticket/ weigh customers in a timely manner.

This position is a seasonal full time position that will have a winter layoff with a spring recall.

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1. One year of college or technical school coursework in Landscaping program preferred; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Talks with customers by phone or in person and receives orders for Hardscape materials including retaining wall blocks, paver and patio blocks, aggregate, mulch, flagstone, etc.
2. Fills out order forms, determines charges, collects deposits, and payments.
3. Makes arrangements for delivery and pick up of customer orders.
4. Solicits sale of new or additional products or services offered by Hardscapes Outlet.
5. Assists in design and product quantities for basic installations of landscaping projects.
6. Weighing/ticketing trucks in a correct and timely manner.
7. Help manage and keep accurate inventory counts for this location.
8. Communicate with co-workers in an effective manner for the benefit of our customers’ needs.
9. Help customers load product when needed.
10. May assist in design of basic installations.
11. Performs other duties as assigned such as showroom upkeeping, cleaning, etc.
12. Will be expected to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
13. Will be cross trained as back up for equipment operator.
14. Other duties as assigned.

Typical hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. 2-3 Saturdays per month.
