Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of our daycare center. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment for children to grow and learn. This individual will be responsible for managing staff, implementing educational and spiritual programs, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and fostering a positive, supportive relationship with parents and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Staff Management:
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise daycare staff to ensure high-quality care and effective teaching.
• Lead staff meetings and provide ongoing professional development.
• Maintain a positive, supportive, and Christ-centered workplace culture.
2. Program Development:
• Develop and implement a balanced program that integrates educational, emotional, social, and spiritual growth.
3. Administrative Oversight:
• Ensure the daycare complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including licensing, health, and safety standards.
• Manage budgets, payroll, and other financial aspects of the daycare center.
• Oversee Assistant Director maintaining accurate records of children’s enrollment, attendance, and developmental progress.
4. Spiritual Leadership:
• Foster an atmosphere of Christian love, grace, and respect in all interactions with children, families, and staff.
• Serve as a spiritual role model for children and staff, encouraging the integration of faith into all aspects of life.
Qualifications:
• A strong personal Christian faith with a commitment to upholding and promoting Christian values in a daycare setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred) or a two-year degree in early childhood education.
• Previous experience in early childhood education, daycare management, or a similar role.
• Knowledge of state childcare regulations and licensing requirements.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive, nurturing environment for children and staff.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or comparable credential, as determined by the department;
• Hold certification in a specific child learning philosophy and have at least one year of experience in a child care setting;
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with program development and curriculum planning, including Bible-based education.
• Leadership experience in a Christian educational or ministry setting.
• Familiarity with child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
