Job Description

Are you an “attention to detail” person who enjoys helping the public? Murray County is accepting applications for a full-time Deputy Recorder. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm located at the Murray County Government Center.

This position assists the County Recorder recording all real estate records of the County pertaining to property titles. In addition, this position ensures documents meet legal requirements for recording, as well as collecting and receipting appropriate fees, scanning and indexing documents, and accepting and processing passport applications. The person hired into this position will provide high-quality customer service for the Murray County Recorder’s Office.


Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED and an associate’s degree. Experience with real estate/ property descriptions and recording legal documents is highly preferred. A valid driver’s license is required. For a detailed listing of duties and qualifications see job description.
