Salary, Exempt

Salary: $130,000-$150,000

Eligible for additional compensation

Benefit eligible 1st of the month after hire

· As the Director of Operations, you are expected to maintain Grand Prairie’s Core Values in all communications with employees, visitors, and outside service providers.

Role

The purpose of the role of Site Director is to oversee all relevant departments that support the production of Grand Prairie products. This includes, but is not limited to, first and second shift Production; Quality Assurance; Logistics; and Maintenance. The Site Director will be responsible for the continued growth and success of the site, heightening the focus on efficiency, culture, and compliance.

Responsibilities

· Oversee daily operations of the plant – including, but not limited to, production, scheduling, labor, yield, and other metrics as defined by the Vice President of Operations.

· Oversee and support the site Production Supervisors to ensure the production team is meeting production schedule requirements within standard costs.

· Oversee and support the site Logistics Manager in monitoring inventory levels, schedule adherence, and the physical and systemic movement of goods and materials to, from and within the plant, following procedures as developed by the logistics department head.

· Oversee and support the site Quality Manager to ensure all company-established Quality Assurance, Food Safety and Quality Control requirements are implemented and followed, as developed by the Quality Assurance department head.

· Oversee and support the site Maintenance Manager to ensure the facility and equipment are maintained to achieve the required production levels.

· Support and collaborate with other department leaders with indirect reports on the site to foster growth, innovation, and strategic planning for the success of the company.

· Set the example to all employees of what living our Core Values means.

· Ensure all personnel working within the site comply with all HACCP, Safety, SQF, and SOP regulations at all times.

· Continued collaboration with all Leaders of Grand Prairie Foods.

· Determine and work with Human Resources for hiring, training, coaching, and other corrective actions, as necessary.

· Work with Finance to develop the site’s cost center budget. Achieve budget target(s) by managing costs and achieving operational performance.

· Lead L10 (EOS) meetings, ensuring participants are accountable for defining and achieving objectives that align with overall company objectives.

· Coach and mentor all leaders within the site – focusing on leadership, operations, and culture.

· Foster a culture of continued improvement – holding each other accountable, while celebrating success.

· Identify and implement continuous improvement processes and procedures to improve productivity and reduce costs.

· Work closely with the USDA to ensure Grand Prairie Foods complies with all food safety regulations.

Education & Training Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Management, Food Science, or related field

· Master’s degree a plus

· Experience and understanding with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S

· Ability to work in diverse environments, creating a welcoming environment for all people(s)

· Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including, but not limited to: FDA, USDA, HACCP, SQF)

Work Experience Requirements

· 7+ years of experience in a food manufacturing setting

· 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, supporting at least 30+ employees

· Successfully managing multiple departments, while also successfully managing operations

· Experience working directly with USDA

Physical Demands and Work Environment

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer

· Ability to stand, reach, bend, push, and pull up to 25lbs

· Exposure to variation of temperature

· Walking throughout the site for visual inspections
