POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Quality is responsible for driving and maintaining excellence in product and process quality across the Rosenbauer Plants in the USA, ensuring compliance with company standards, regulatory regulations and customer expectations. This role also involves close collaboration with the global quality team to ensure alignment and implementation of global quality initiatives at the site level.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Develop, implement and sustain robust process controls to ensure consistent product quality
- Establish and develop quality assurance, including inspection plans, testing methods, acceptance criteria’s
- Drive preventive measures by proactively identifying risks through data analysis and process audits
- Ensuring timely and effective resolution of quality issues by leading root cause analysis (e.g. 8Ds, Ishikawa etc.) and implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to product and process quality, reporting trends and initiating improvements where required
- Collaborate with production, engineering and supply chain to integrate quality initiatives into all stages of the production process
- Oversee and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 standard
- Ensure proper documentation, implementation and monitoring of the quality management system
- Conduct regular internal audits and facilitate external audits by certification bodies
- Act as the key focal point between site-level operations and the global quality team
- Implement and adapt quality strategies and tools to meet plant-specific requirements
- Contribute to the development of global quality initiatives by providing site specific insights and feedback
- Sustain the Quality Management System with required departmental needs.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
K | Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience: - Bachelor´s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field required
- Master´s degree preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in quality management in a manufacturing environment required.
- Progressive leadership experience within a quality department required.

S | Skills: Language: - Able to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Able to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors, and the general public.
- Able to effectively communicate with tact and diplomacy at all times to develop relationships with internal and external contacts to provide excellent customer service and conflict management.
- Able to follow written and verbal directions and communicate new information that could affect project trajectories.

Math: - Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Computer: - Able to perform intermediate PC functions in Microsoft Office including the use of spreadsheet tables and formulas.

- Experience with quality tools (e.g. FMEA, SPC, 8D etc.)
- Skills in analytical problem-solving
