2. As a Draftsman at SBI Manufacturing you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and specifications for metal fabrication projects using CAD software (SolidWorks). This role involves collaborating closely with engineers and production teams to ensure designs meet structural integrity, safety, and material standards. The Draftsman will also be tasked with revising drawings based on client feedback and project specifications, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. A strong understanding of metalworking processes and a keen eye for detail are essential for success in this position. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

3. BASIC FUNCTION

   1. Developing detailed drawings and blueprints for metal components, assemblies, and structures using SolidWorks.

   2. Collaborating with co-workers to translate conceptual designs into functional blueprints, ensuring that all specifications and requirements are met.

   3. Modifying existing drawings based on client and co-worker feedback, project requirements, or changes in specifications, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with SBI and customer standards.

   4. Maintaining organized documentation of all designs, revisions, and project-related materials for easy reference and compliance.

   5. Participate in quality control processes by reviewing and verifying drawings for accuracy and adherence to technical standards before production begins.

   6. Assisting the production team with any technical questions that arise during manufacturing, ensuring that the designs are correctly interpreted and implemented.

   7. Identifying potential design or fabrication issues and proposing effective solutions to mitigate delays or production challenges.

4. REQUIREMENTS

   1. An associates degree or diploma in drafting, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.

   2. Knowledge of metal manufacturing and fabrication techniques, including welding, machining, and assembly processes, is important to create accurate and feasible drawings.

   3. The ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications is crucial.

   4. Previous experience in drafting or related field, particularly in metal manufacturing is preferred but not required.

   5. Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers, production team, and clients.

   6. The ability to identify potential design issues and propose practical solutions.

   7. An understanding of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations, such as ISO, is highly advantageous
