REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION LEVEL:

Two years successful post high school education.

EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

At least one year of work experience in a position requiring interpersonal interaction skills and knowledge of strategies to support students with challenging behaviors.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires hearing, hand-eye coordination, mind-eye coordination, keyboarding and telephoning. Frequent bending, twisting and floor to standing.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Regular, reliable attendance. Experience with behavior management. Knowledge of strategies to manage behavior. Ability to use a computer for word processing and data entry. Ability to maintain confidential information. Regular contact with students with emotional, cognitive and/or conduct-related disorders. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training preferred. Discrete Trial training preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES

1. Support students in alternative learning settings to control behavior and support
2. Maintains student progress on behavior and achievement
3. Conducts observations and collects classroom teacher forms needed for referral and reintegration
4. Shares responsibility and offers assistance to co-workers.
5. Provides teachers and parents with progress reports, as directed by the
6. Participates in the implementation and revision of student behavior
7. Supervises student activities, when
8. Routes and maintains all paperwork while student is in under the teacher's
9. Help establish home-school communication concerning the
10. Participates in behavior management training as required and when requested by the
11. Support personal cares of students (washing hands, bath rooming, eating, )

PAY INFORMATION

Level KX, starting at $22.88 per hour - click HERE to view the salary schedule.

Pay Day: Last working day of each month.

HOURS & FTE

Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch

This position also works 1 Friday per month (see calendar for details).

0.8 FTE, 32 hours per week, 9 months
