We are currently seeking a skilled Electrician to join our property management team.
As an Electrician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing electrical infrastructure, fixtures, and appliances to meet high-quality standards and regulatory compliance.
This position is located in Sioux Falls, SD and will be servicing our properties in Rapid City, SD, Dickinson ND and Omaha, NE

Key Highlights:
- $19 - $21.50 hourly compensation
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, identifying and rectifying issues promptly.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform repairs as necessary to minimize downtime.
- Replace or upgrade electrical components, fixtures, and wiring systems as required.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols during all maintenance and repair activities.
- Install new electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures according to blueprints and specifications.
- Upgrade existing electrical infrastructure to improve efficiency, safety, and functionality.
- Collaborate with contractors and other team members to coordinate electrical installation projects.
- Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues, including power outages and electrical failures.
- Diagnose and resolve emergency electrical problems efficiently to minimize disruption to property operations.
- Implement preventive measures to mitigate the risk of future emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Generate reports detailing work completed, materials used, and any recommendations for improvements.
- Communicate effectively with property management team regarding electrical status and issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while performing electrical work.
- Conduct regular safety checks on electrical equipment and systems to identify potential hazards.
- Implement corrective actions to address safety concerns and ensure a safe working environment.
- Other functions as assigned by Field Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in property management or a related field.
- Valid electrician license or certification required.
- Journeyman Electrician license is required.
- Electrician Contractor License is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical problems and performing repairs.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and protocols.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in various environments and conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License is required to complete the essential function of the position (completing off hours emergency maintenance requests, obtaining/transporting supplies, etc.).
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; reach with hands and arms and stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions including seasonally hot or cold temperatures and inclement weather. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
