Engineer Internship
The Engineering Intern position offers a variety of opportunities including structural, mechanism, hydraulic, and electrical design and layout. This is an opportunity to design, prototype, build and test products throughout their summer experience. This teammate will be embedded in real projects and support the team through all aspects of the design and development process during the period they are present. Projects may include continuous improvements on existing products, new product introduction on ground up new designs, and research and development of new technologies for future incorporation into new or current designs.
Key Roles
- Proactively seek opportunities to contribute to the assigned team’s success, identify personal development opportunities, and deliver results to the group while developing an understanding of the suppliers, processes, customers, and metrics critical to the team’s function
- Assignments may require one or more of the following: project management, data collection, analytics, process execution, documentation, process design, continuous improvement, direct line support, supervision, supplier management, etc.
Operation of heavy equipment including skid loaders, excavators, and tractors with mulching and mowing attachments in real world and simulated laboratory environments.
Design of new or revision of existing parts in CAD including creation of parts, prints and subsequent updates to the Bill of Materials.
Build prototypes by assisting with fabrication and assembly of designs.
Test design changes through data collection and analysis.
Analysis of data to summarize results and generate reports to present findings.
Less than 10% of travel may be required related to field testing and VOC events.
Responsibilities
Must possess a high degree of technical aptitude, and have interest in technologies such as: electrical, electronic control systems, CAN, hydraulics, drivetrain systems, hybrid technology.
Time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills/experience required. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand problem-solving environment with the ability to meet and/or negotiate timelines as necessary. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects / initiatives at one time.
- Desire to gain understanding of situations, processes, and procedures to improve them.
MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience
Entry level experience (0-2 years)
Qualifications
- A sophomore or higher student in good standing enrolled in Engineering including but not limited to: Mechanical, Agricultural, Automotive, Mechatronics, Robotics, or Electrical Engineering
- Forklift experience preferred.

Location: 60th St
Hours: 8:00-5:00
Days of Shift: Monday-Friday
