Job Description:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons that encourage active learning and critical thinking
- Create lesson plans and instructional frameworks aligned with curriculum maps and academic standards
- Provide diverse learning materials, resources, and teaching methods to address the varied needs of students and their academic growth
- Assign , evaluate, and grade classroom, homework, tests, and projects while offering timely and constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of student progress
- Stay current on development in English education, teaching strategies, and resources, integrating these into classroom practices as appropriate
- Foster a positive and respectful learning environment by supervising students, maintaining discipline, and offering support to those with academic challenges
- Participate in school events, department meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and fundraisers while promoting the Bishop O†Gorman Catholic Schools mission and upholding professionalism and confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
- State certification

- Knowledge of relevant technology
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Good problem solving and decision making skills
- Self-motivated with high energy
