Reporting to the A-OX President this role will have environmental, health and safety support responsibility for our various locations across South Dakota, North Dakota, and Iowa. Position provides compliance assurance and assistance for the company in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
Essential Functions
- Champions and promotes a strong safety and compliance culture, implementing programs to ensure regulatory compliance
- Works with management to ensure support is provided in achieving EHS goals
- Identifies opportunities to improve EHS performance and takes proactive actions to implement
- Supports accident/incident investigation, reporting and root cause analysis
- Provides active support to companies by training employees
- Assists companies with environmental permit compliance
- Works with Quality Manager and Operations Manager to ensure compliance to OSHA, EPA, FDA, and DOT regulations
- Assists with preparation and submission of Federal and State reports as required
- Performs audits of operating procedures and assist with the development of corrective actions
- Represents companies on regulatory issues with government entities
- Provides analysis of risk data to management
Basic Required Qualification
- Bachelors’ Degree in a related discipline
- Three (3) years EHS management experience
- Experience in Operational Safety (PSM/RMP)
- Must have excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills. Must be able to present and discuss technical information and respond to questions.
- Ability to define and solve problems.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically.

- Bachelor’s degree
- Compressed Gas Industry Experience
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- OSHA Authorized Trainer
