Job Description
Divine Mercy Pastorate(Christ the King, Immaculate Heart of Mary (St Mary’s), and St John Paul II) in Sioux Falls is seeking a full-time Executive Assistant to provide executive administrative support to the pastorate. They are able to create and maintain the master calendar for the pastorate, especially appointment scheduling for the clergy. They understand the sacramental and liturgical year to assist in the scheduling of pastorate events.
The successful candidate will take direction from the Clergy and Members of the Leadership Team and report directly to the Business Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creating/Maintaining master calendar for multiple clergy to include liturgical and sacramental scheduling.
- Maintaining accurate parishioner and sacramental information in our system of record (Ministry Platform software).
- Providing exceptional customer service with telephone calls and walk-in requests.
- Assisting with access management to our facilities.
- Overseeing/Maintaining external facility rental agreements and fees.
- Providing administrative support to internal teams.
Qualifications:
Primary
- Must be a practicing Catholic and have the willingness and ability to effectively make known the Catholic Church’s teachings through the varied ministry activities expected of this position.
- Willingness and ability to act as an outstanding personal witness to the Catholic faith and religion by living both one’s professional and personal life in accordance with the doctrines and moral teachings of the Roman Catholic Church
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree and/or experience in business, communications, or a related field.
- Related experience and familiarization with the aspects of the Catholic Church.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in scheduling and office software, like Google and Microsoft Office Suite , Mail Merge etc.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- An understanding and working knowledge of the sacramental and liturgical year
- Engaged, active team member with great interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment to think strategically, multitask, and conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
- Proven communication skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals while maintaining strict confidentiality.
