Facilities Assistant

Facility: First PREMIER Bank

This position performs work tasks relating to building and/or grounds maintenance, including the repair of building structures and mechanical equipment. This position works to maintain a safe, functional, comfortable and efficient environment that enables the occupants to perform their functions as required.  

• Responsible for grounds and building maintenance.
• Responds as directed to all employee requests in relation to the facility and employee safety.
• Assists with the repair and replacement of building components as needed.
• Works independently on assigned projects.
• Assists on-site contractors, vendors and other external service contacts
• Develops baseline knowledge of the onsite Critical Backup Power systems, building environmental systems and electrical circuitry and responds to events that impact the business process 
• Completes regular facility maintenance and projects as assigned, working in coordination with the Facilities Manager, onsite management team and outside vendors
• Responds to emergency situations and events outside normal working hours 

• A combination of education and experience that would enable the incumbent to meet all essential functions and required competencies of the position. 
• Intermediate level computer skills are required. 
• Basic working knowledge of the building systems that are critical to employee safety and critical power needs such as fire alarm system; emergency backup power generator; UPS power conditioning equipment; building and data center electrical circuitry; building environmental systems and computer room air conditioning system.
