Job Description
SUMMARY: Responsible for providing facilities and equipment support to the manufacturing area on the assigned shift. Provide training, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment. Coordinate activities with the preceding/successive shifts and communicate between shifts.
Qualifications:
- A two-year electro-mechanical associate degree, equivalent experience or related major.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow blueprints, electrical and mechanical drawings a must.
- A functional understanding of basic programming concepts of computer software applications. Experience with automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
- An understanding of basic Microsoft software is required.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interact with a variety of personnel in a positive and professional manner.
- Wear all proper protective equipment as required in the work area in accordance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards.
- Flex hours as required to make sure full operation of equipment for all shifts is achieved. Work overtime when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform general facility maintenance as needed and defined by the manager. (example: Snow removal, replace light bulbs)
- Complete the necessary preventative maintenance (PM) activities as directed by the program.
- Provide technical support for equipment and facility within an electronics manufacturer, including but not limited to, interpreting assembly documentation and production standards.
- Work closely with engineering on equipment performance issues, creating and/or adjusting maintenance, or other items as needed.
- Set-up, troubleshoot, repair, and operate manufacturing equipment throughout the facility.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineering with programming of equipment as needed.
- Assist in training associates with machine operation and proper use of tools and equipment.
- Assist with the design, fabrication, and implementation of tooling or fixturing for use by the production floor in conjunction with engineering specs and requirements.
- Participate in new equipment suggestions based on past experiences.
- Participate in 5S, Kaizen, safety, and health programs.
- Perform other tasks or duties as assigned.
