Job Description

Nielson Construction is seeking a Foundation Wall Foreman to join our team! The Foundation Wall Foreman is responsible for keeping the crew on schedule and following directions from the Field Operations Manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific job site/project.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads field team members to achieve completion of all projects on schedule, within budget, with quality work that conforms to original plans and specifications. Coordinates and supervises all work on the job sites.
  • Provides project status reports to supervisors, site engineers, and division leads as needed.
  • Maintains positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other employees.
  • Promotes job site safety by maintaining an organized job site that encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
  • Manage and complete customer call backs in a timely fashion.
  • Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process
  • Prepare, approve, and submit accurate timesheets and other required paperwork.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Complete knowledge of all foundations, concrete, and trenching is required.
  • A valid Driver License is required, and a Class-A CDL is preferred.
  • Management or leadership experience is required, with preference given to leadership experience in the concrete industry.
  • Ability to operate all pieces of equipment, with a strong understanding of the maintenance and basic care of heavy equipment including hydraulics and hydrostatics is required.
  • Familiarity with construction plans is required.
  • The ability to manage diverse personalities is required.
  • Ability to work in extreme temps (hot & cold) and overtime, including potential nights & weekends.
  • Some heavy lifting - a minimum of 50lbs is required.
